About Us
Meet Derick & Jenna! And Lila too! We are the owners and operators of Kona Ice of Tallahassee since 2019. Originally from the Northern Kentucky area, Derick's Kona Ice story started as an employee for Kona Ice Korporate - Local Operation as a driver/server. After graduating college in 2018 he knew in his heart he wanted to own a Kona Ice franchise because of the fun work atmosphere, community impact, and the opportunity to share smiles & laughs all day long! We are very fortunate to be able to make people happy for even just a moment of their day. When we're not driving the trucks around the Tallahassee area, we love taking our dogs, Kash and Pearl, on walks around the Tally parks and nearby beaches, visiting local shops and eating all the food they have to offer. Our favorite flavor of Kona is Lavender Lemonade with a splash Island Rush and our favorite part of our business is giving back to the community that has supported us in what was once just a dream. We are excited to serve up smiles with the help of our 2 trucks and a kiosk (perfect for indoor events or tighter spaces!).
